§ Mr. ARCHDALEasked the Vice-President of the Department of Agriculture (Ireland) if he is aware that Canadian flax is selling for a much higher price than Irish, though much inferior in quality; and, now that flax in England is not controlled, will he arrange for the control to be taken off Irish flax?
§ Mr. BRIDGEMANI have been asked to reply. The quantities of Canadian flax which come to the United Kingdom market are extremely small, and I have no information bearing out the statement in the first part of the question. As regards the latter part of the question, I would refer my hon. Friend to the answer given the hon. Member for South Antrim on the 12th February.
