Mr. CHAMBERLAINThe debt redeemable before 31st March, 1924, is, approximately, £2,420,000,000, exclusive of War Savings Certificates, which, at 15s. 6d., amount in the aggregate to £261,000,000. This figure represents a reduction of the short-dated loans outstanding on 1st April, 1919, of, approximately, £200,000,000.
