§ Colonel WEDGWOODasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what is the estimated loss to the Treasury during the year 1918–19 and 1919–20 due to the increase in the rates on Treasury bills to 4½ per cent, and 5 per cent., and from 4½ per cent, and 5 per cent, to 5½ per cent.; and were either of these losses taken into account in estimating the probable deficit this year or in the normal year 1919–20?
Mr. CHAMBERLAINI can add nothing to the answers which I gave to the hon. and gallant Member and to other Members on Monday last.
