§ Mr. A. HENDERSONasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he can state the total amount of Income Tax paid in respect to the ownership of agricultural land in 1913–14; and the total amount payable in the current year?
Mr. CHAMBERLAINThe total net produce of the Income Tax under Schedule A. in respect of the ownership of lands, houses, etc., was £9,400,000 for 1913–14; for 1919–20 it is estimated that the figure will be £46,000,000. Separate figures as regards agricultural lands are not available.
