§ Mr. WATERSONasked the President of the Local Government Board if he is aware of the existence of the shortage of houses in the Maidwell Draughton district of Northamptonshire, and that in the same locality there are cottages owned by the squire that are standing vacant; and whether he can take any action to secure that these houses shall be made available for willing tenants in view of the shortage of houses?
§ Major ASTORThe Housing Commissioner has met the Housing Committee of the Rural District Council and understands that it is hoped that an arrangement may be made for the use of vacant cottages.
