§ Captain MOREING
asked the President of the Local Government Board whether he intends to extend the provisions of the Increase of Rent and Mortgage Interest (War Restrictions) Act, 1915, to protect tenants in England who occupy a house at a rent of £35 per annum, the net rateable value of which, as shown by the demand note, is only £26?
§ Mr. JOHN DAVISON
asked the President of the Local Government Board whether it is the intention of the Government to extend the Increase of Rent and Mortgage Interest (War Restrictions) Act for such a period as will enable local authorities to meet the present lack of 1995W housing accommodation by a rapid development of their housing schemes, in conformity with the needs of the population?
§ Major ASTOR
In reply to these questions, I can only refer to the answer given by my right hon. Friend the Lord Privy Seal on Monday last to somewhat similar questions addressed to him by the hon. Members for Finchley and Dartford.
