HC Deb 27 February 1919 vol 112 c1995W
Major COPE

asked the President of the Local Government Board if he has yet come to any decision as to the possibility of supplying temporary accommodation in areas where the scarcity of houses is causing particular distress and unrest; and if, in such cases as Barry, in the county of Glamorgan, where a military hutted camp exists in close proximity to the town, he will consider the advisability of making such arrangements with the military authorities as will leave these huts free to be adapted for civilian occupation?

Major ASTOR

I am giving careful consideration to the hon. and gallant Member's suggestion, and hope to be able to come to a decision at a very early date.
