§ Major BIRCHALLasked the Minister of Health whether his attention has been 703W drawn to the case of Mr. Harry Dixon, relieving officer of the Holbeck Union, who, after serving with His Majesty's Forces in France and being wounded was, on demobilisation, refused reinetatement by the Holbeck Guardians notwithstanding a promise given to him to that effect prior to joining up; if he will say whether he is prepared to take action in the matter; and whether, in the event of this officer's appointment being terminated, he will see that adequate compensation is given?
§ Dr. ADDISONMy attention has been called to this case, and I am at present awaiting a further communication from the guardians, which I hope will show that a satisfactory arrangement has been reached.
