HC Deb 04 December 1919 vol 122 cc620-1W
Mr. LAWSON

asked the Secretary of State for War whether M. Litvinoff has brought to Copenhagen one or more British soldiers who have been held prisoner by the Soviet Government; if so, whether these British soldiers are now liberated; and what is the reason of the unusual and exceptional treatment accorded to them?

Mr. CHURCHILL

The answer to the first and second parts of the question is in the affirmative, I am not at present aware of the reason which led the Bolshevik authorities to give these men preferential treatment.
