Sir F. HALLasked the Minister of Health whether, in view of the increased cost to boards of guardians in the maintenance of pauper lunatics at lunatic asylums since the passing of the Local Government Act in 1888, whereby 4s. per head per week was allowed, he will consider as to the introduction of legislation amending the Act of 1888, so as to provide for repayment to the guardians of at least one-half of the actual cost to them of every pauper lunatic?
§ Dr. ADDISONI can only refer my hon. Friend to the reply given on the 28th October last to the hon. and gallant Member for the Isle of Ely.
