§ Mr. MACQUISTENasked the Secretary of State for War whether it is with his knowledge and approval that the Army Council have demanded 600 new motor cars for the use of the military in the United Kingdom; and whether these cars are to take the places of the 500 cars said to be about to be withdrawn in response "to orders about to be issued to secure a considerable reduction in the number of cars used by the military in the United Kingdom?
§ Mr. FORSTERI am afraid my hon. Friend has been misinformed. It is not the fact that the Army Council or the War Office have demanded 600 new motor cars for the use of the military in the United Kingdom. The last part of the question does not, therefore, arise.
