§ Mr. RAMSDENasked the President of the Board of Trade whether, in view of the stagnation in the paper trade caused by the removal of the import restrictions, he will, in the interests of labour affected by the closing down of many mills, consider the continuation of the restrictions till September next?
§ Mr. BRIDGEMANAs announced in the House on the 3rd instant, a representative Committee has been appointed to investigate conditions in the paper industry. Pending receipt of the Report of this Committee, I am not able to make any statement on the matter.
