HC Deb 02 April 1919 vol 114 c1233W
Mr. GLANVILLE

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether his attention has been called to the refusal of the railway companies to reopen South Bermondsey, Southwark Park, and Spa Road Stations, owing, amongst other factors, to their opinion that the provision of facilities for short-distance passenger traffic is outside their responsibilities; and whether he can take any steps to secure that the people of Bermondsey are provided with some means of travelling between their homes and work?

Mr. BRIDGEMAN

I am afraid I am not in a position to add to the letter which I recently wrote to the hon. Gentleman in regard to the possibility of reopening these stations.
