Clark to assist in inspection the Defence of the Realm Losses Commission, and referred to in paragraph 7 of their Third Report, entail payment for their services; and, if so, will he say on what terms such payment is made?
§ Mr. BALDWINThese gentlemen are paid £5 5s. a day each, together with travelling expenses for each day occupied on the business of the Committee. Mr. Savill and Mr. Clark expressed their willingness to accept this scale in view 1483W of the public interest involved in the work, though on any other ground they would be unable to accept so low a fee.
