HC Deb 21 March 1918 vol 104 cc1188-9W
Colonel THRONE

asked the parliamentary secretary to the ministry of Food in what way the communal kitchens are being supplied with the meat; and if any alteration has been made during the past four weeks?

Mr. CLYNES

Under the London and Home Counties rationing scheme national kitchens are classed as catering institutions; kitchens outside the areas of compulsory rations are dependent on the local arrangements made by their committees of management. The precise arrangements for the registration and supply of these kitchens is under consideration.
