§ Brigadier-General CROFTasked the Secretary for Scotland in how many primary schools in Scotland is the subject of gardening taught practically, theoretically, or not at all?
§ Mr. MUNROGardening is taught in 642 schools in Scotland. In all these schools the instruction is thoroughly practical in character, and is under the supervision of the agricultural college of the district. In many of the remaining schools, 2,500 in number, to which no school garden is attached, theoretical instruction is given as part of the course in nature study.
