§ Commander WEDGWOOD
asked the Secretary of State for the Colonics whether the scheme for the settlement of officers I and soldiers on the land in British East 1354W Africa is yet completed; and whether he is taking any steps yet to extend the scheme to what was lately German East Africa?
§ Mr. LONG
The Governor of the East Africa Protectorate has been authorised to appoint a local Commission, including unofficial representatives, to consider the proposals which have been made for the settlement of ex-service men on the land. The Commission's Report has not yet reached me. The answer to the last part of the question is in the negative.
