asked the Chief Secretary for Ireland whether, as a result of the deputation of Members of Parliament which waited on him on the 6th ultimo, he has taken steps to bring about some improvement in the pay and allowances of Irish warders; if he has fulfilled his promise by personally investigating the case of those public officials, especially the married officials, during the Easter Recess; and, if so, will be now state what are his intentions towards relieving the distress of those officers?
