HC Deb 25 April 1917 vol 92 c2416W

asked the Parliamentary representative to the Air Board' whether the Royal Flying Corps have a prior claim to the Royal Naval Air Service to all the latest types of aeroplane at present under construction in this country; and whether it is proposed that all such machines of high efficiency now on order for the Royal Naval Air Service shall be transferred to the Royal Flying Corps?

The answer to both parts of the question is in the negative. Every endeavour is made to meet the requirements of both the Royal Naval Air Service and the Royal Flying Corps. Where these requirements cannot be met in full the supply available is allocated by the Air Board after full consideration of the respective needs of the two Services.
