§ Mr. W. THORNEasked the Minister of Labour if he is aware that the London Advisory Trade Committee have refused to allow a room in the Labour Exchange, Stratford, E., to be used by the local trade unions: and if ho intends taking any action in the matter?
§ Mr. BRIDGEMANThe Advisory Trade Committee for the London and South-Eastern Counties have not, within the last twelve months, refused any application by a trade union for accommodation at the Stratford Employment Exchange. An application for accommodation at this Exchange was, however, made recently by the West Ham and District Trades and Labour Council; and, in accordance with the usual practice of the committee in regard to applications for accommodation made by trade and labour councils, the chairman of the committee refused, pend-ing a meeting of the committee, to give his provisional sanction to the grant of accommodation.
