HC Deb 21 February 1916 vol 80 c441W
Mr. KING

asked the Under-Secretary of State for War whether he will state, with regard to each person shot in this country during the period of the War, whether upon conviction on indictment or upon conviction by court-martial, approximately, how many hours elapsed between the dismissal of the appeal by the Court of Criminal Appeal or the confirmation of the sentence, as the case may be, and the execution of the condemned person?

Mr. TENNANT

I find the approximate average interval has been five days.
