§ Mr. HOBHOUSEThe recommendations respecting the surveyors' clerks are still under consideration, together with those affecting other clerical classes of the Post Office. The position is complicated by the Report of the Royal Commission on the Civil Service, upon which the Government has not yet reached a decision.
