§ Sir H. VERNEYUp to the 31st December, 1914, 198,288 acres had been acquired for small holdings, of which 139,478 acres were purchased for £4,601,692 and 58,810 acres leased at rents amounting to £74,186 a year. The number of holdings provided is approximately 15,000. An annual report of the proceedings under the Act is presented to Parliament each year. The Report for 1914 is now in the hands of the printers.
