HC Deb 25 November 1914 vol 68 c1133W
Sir WALTER NUGENT

asked the Chief Secretary what provision, if any, has been made for the storage or distribution in Ireland of the proportion of the Canadian gift of flour which has been sent there; whether he is aware that it is still lying at the Northwall, in Dublin, where it was landed five or six weeks ago, and that, unless it is soon removed, great deterioration in value must result?

Mr. BIRRELL

The Dublin Port and Docks Board have generously allowed the flour to be temporarily stored at the Northwall extension sheds pending the making of further arrangements. I am assured that these sheds are quite suitable for the purpose, and effective steps are being taken to prevent damage to the flour by vermin.
