§ Mr. BIRRELLMr. Pack Beresford has been in the employment of the Local Government Board from time to time since August, 1904. His first appointment was that of temporary auditor and then he acted as a temporary Poor Law inspector. He was subsequently employed as a temporary inspector under the Labourers Acts and also, by special order of the Board, was appointed to perform the duties of the Bawnboy Rural District Council under the Labourers Acts. Prior to his employment under the Board, he acted as a land agent for five years.
