HC Deb 21 April 1913 vol 52 c55W
Captain FABER

asked the Secretary of State for War on what date the General Staff assured him that the troops remaining in the country after the Expeditionary Force had left would be adequate to defeat any organised invasion which, on the basis of the Admiralty calculation, might elude the Fleet; and what force is it exactly that the General Staff has recorded in writing can be dealt with effectively by the forces left behind?

Colonel SEELY

The reply to the first part of the question is Wednesday, 16th April. The seond part of the question can only be dealt with adequately in a debate where naval and military questions can be jointly considered.
