§ Mr. C. BATHURST
asked the President of the Board of Agriculture, if, seeing that it is proposed by Amendment of the Market Gardeners' Compensation Bill, now before the House of Commons, to make the Evesham custom applicable to all market gardens throughout the country, he will state what in the opinion of the Board and its horticultural depart- 2406W ment is the exact nature and effect of such custom?
§ Mr. RUNCIMAN
It is impossible within the limits of an answer to a Parliamentary question to explain the exact nature and effect of the Evesham custom. The hon. Member will find the information which he desires in the Board's Journal for September, 1911, a copy of which I am sending to him.
