HC Deb 21 October 1912 vol 42 cc1730-1W
Sir HILDRED CARLILE

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he is aware that applications for relief under the provisions of Section 5 of the Finance Act, 1911, as to Licence Duty chargeable where licensed premises are situate in outlying parts of urban districts, have been for a considerable time before the Commissioners of Customs and Excise; and whether he will say when the decisions of the Commissioners may be expected?

Mr. LLOYD GEORGE

A number of applications under this Section have been dealt with by the Commissioners. Others are still under consideration and will be decided when certain inquiries, now pending, are completed.
