HC Deb 21 October 1912 vol 42 c1730W
Mr. FIELD

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether, since the Balkan crisis, the Governments of France, Austria, and other countries have intervened with regard to the financial panics on their respective bourses, with the object of preventing a crisis; and whether lie will cause official inquiries to be made especially with respect to the questions of bear gambling operations in options and futures in finance that have taken place during 1912, and lay before the House particulars of the same?

Mr. LLOYD GEORGE

I have no information regarding the first part of the question, but I will bear in mind the suggestion made in the second part.
