HC Deb 07 March 1912 vol 35 cc689-90W
Mr. SNOWDEN

asked the Postmaster-General whether his attention has been called to the unrest amongst engineers of the Post Office as a result of the recent reorganisation of the engineering department; and whether, in view of the developments of the telephone service which he has stated are about to take place and the desirability of removing as far as possible anything likely to jeopardise the success of these developments, he proposes holding an inquiry with a view to investigating the grievances of these Post Office servants?

Mr. HERBERT SAMUEL

I am aware that the recent reorganisation of the Engineering Department, largely beneficial as it is to the staff upon the whole, has given rise to complaint at some points, all of which are receiving attention in the ordinary course.
