HC Deb 17 June 1912 vol 39 c1460W
Mr. MacVEAGH

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether any complaints have been received at the Colonial Office regarding the administration of the Seychelles islands; and, if so, what decision has been arrived at?

Mr. HARCOURT

I have recently received a number of complaints. Many of them were of a trivial character and have so far disclosed no ground for any action on my part except that I have ordered an inquiry into allegations respecting the conduct of a particular officer.
