HC Deb 14 June 1912 vol 39 c1282W
Mr. REMNANT

asked the hon. Member for St. George's-in-the-East, as representing the First Commissioner of Works, if he can state whether the building now in course of erection adjoining the Land Registry, in Lincoln's Inn Fields, is being built for the Government; and, if so, under what Act and for what purpose it is intended?

Mr. WEDGWOOD BENN

The answer to the first question is in the affirmative. The Act is 63 and 64 Vic. c. 19. Until the accommodation is required by the Land Registry, the greater part of the building will be occupied by the Land Valuation Department which works to some extent in co-operation with the registry.
