HC Deb 13 June 1912 vol 39 cc1180-1W
Mr. ALBERT SMITH

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he has now considered the desirability of appointing a Committee to inquire into the whole working of the Workmen's Compensation Act?

Mr. McKENNA

I have considered the question carefully, but, in view of the fact that the latest Act has only been in force for a comparatively short time, I have come to the conclusion that an inquiry at present would be premature.
