§ Mr. LYNCHasked the Home Secretary whether, in view of the fact that a licence has been granted to Mr. Laurence Cowen's play, "Tricked," by the Lord Chamberlain, he will consider the advisability of reconsidering the decisions of his predecessor in regard to various plays of Mr. Bernard Shaw, Mr. Laurence Housman, Mr. Zangwill, and Mr. Eden Phil-pott, which have actually been played to London audiences and in which critics found it impossible to determine the points that occasioned the refusals to licence?
§ Mr. McKENNAAs mentioned in reply to a previous question by the hon. Member, the play "Tricked" was licensed after alterations had been made in it. The Lord Chamberlain would be ready to reconsider the plays by the authors mentioned which have been refused should they see fit to1012W submit them in a revised form. Mr. Eden Philpott's play has in fact been licensed subject to the elimination of certain passages.
