HC Deb 10 June 1912 vol 39 c652W

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether, under the new regulations of the Insurance Commissioners, he can say whether there will be any penalty imposed on a servant who refuses to allow 3d to be deducted from her wages each week, and, if so, what that penalty will be?

No such regulations have been issued or can be issued under the Act. The employer under the Act is entitled to deduct the employés share of the contribution when wages are paid, and the employé has no power to prevent the employer from exercising his right.
