§ Mr. WATTasked the Secretary for Scotland whether his attention has been called to the fact that under Regulations already issued a Grant will be made this year by the English Education Department towards the expenditure by education authorities on dental treatment; and, if so, is a similar Grant to be made for dental treatment in Scotland?
Mr. McKINNON WOODScotland in this matter is on precisely the same footing as England. On the 19th April last a circular was issued to school boards inviting applications for assistance in providing medical (including dental) treatment for school children from a sum of £7,500 placed at the disposal of the Department I for the purpose, and these applications are now under consideration.
