HC Deb 19 December 1912 vol 45 cc1724-5W
Mr. GINNELL

asked the Prime Minister if he will say when the Committee on Imperial and Local Taxation was appointed;

whether it is the intention of the Government to require the Committee to submit its Report before the Report stage or Third Reading of the Government of Ireland Bill; and, if not, whether, pending the Report, the Local Taxation Account will be placed in a solvent condition, and provision made in the present financial year for a refund of the amounts already deducted?

The PRIME MINISTER

The Committee was appointed in April, 1911. The answer to the remaining parts of the question is in the negative.
