HC Deb 02 April 1912 vol 36 c1156W
Mr. HACKETT

asked the Postmaster-General whether he is aware that Thomas Dwyer and Joseph Weston, rural auxiliary postmen, Dundrum, county Tipperary, have to be on duty from 7.30 a.m. to 12 noon each day, that they have to walk fourteen miles each and are not allowed to use a bicycle, and that their weekly pay amounts to 10s. 9d. each, no sick pay allowed and no holidays; and whether he will see his way to increase their weekly pay, allow them sick pay, and permit them to use their bicycles?

Mr. HERBERT SAMUEL

I am having inquiry made in the matter, and I will communicate with the hon. Member.
