§ Mr. FITZROYasked the Secretary of State for War whether he can see his way to restore to the foreman in the Weedon Army Ordnance Department the eight days' leave each year which was taken from them when they were placed on a pension scheme; and whether he will consider the advisability of allowing the 2413W labourers in these ordnance works more leave with pay than they are now allowed, exclusive of bank holidays?
§ Mr. HALDANEThe grant of pension rights to foremen of the Army Ordnance Department, including those at Weedon, carried with it, as conditions of acceptance, revised scales of wages and of leave. These foremen get twelve days' leave with pay, in addition to eight paid holidays in the year. The labourers also get eight paid holidays. It is not proposed to alter these arrangements.
