§ Mr. LOUGHasked the Secretary to the Treasury whether he can state the amount received from the taxation of mining royalties, the Increment and Revision Duties on Land respectively for the year ended 31st March, 1910; what he estimates to receive from the same sources in the present financial year, and how much was, or will, be paid by the County of London under each head in each of the two years?

§ Mr. HOBHOUSEI regret that I cannot anticipate the statement to be made by my right hon. Friend the Chancellor of the Exchequer when he introduces his Budget for next year by giving details of the yield of particular taxes. As I stated in this House on Monday last, the total estimated receipts from the various Land Values Duties for the year 1909–10 was £490,000, and this estimate is likely to be very close to the actual results. I regret that I have no estimate at present as to London's contribution to the taxes.
