HC Deb 16 February 1911 vol 21 cc1432-3W
Sir HENRY CRAIK

asked the Lord Advocate whether there has recently been a marked decline in the percentage of infants vaccinated in Scotland; whether there has been at the same time a marked increase in smallpox cases; and whether the Local Government Board for Scotland has found it necessary to impress upon local authorities the necessity for making provision in view of a probably extensive outbreak of the epidemic?

Mr. URE

The statistical information desired by the hon. Member is set out in the following table:—

The Local Government Board are continuing their long-standing practice of impressing upon local authorities the need of providing special accommodation for smallpox patients so as to be prepared against the possibility of an outbreak.
