HC Deb 04 April 1911 vol 23 cc2179-80W
Mr. WALTER REA

asked the hon. Member for Southampton, as representing the First Commissioner of Works, whether, in view of the dissatisfaction expressed in regard to the site proposed for the memorial of his late Majesty, he will urge upon the Mansion House Committee the desirability of utilising the space between the new Admiralty archway and Trafalgar Square, in order that the last memorial scheme may be adequately completed at the same time as that now under consideration?

Mr. DUDLEY WARD

The site which the hon. Member mentions has already been considered by the committee, who examined it at great length on the spot. The First Commissioner will be happy to bring it again before the committee.
