HC Deb 04 April 1910 vol 16 cc182-3W
Mr. KELLY

asked whether it is the intention of the Department of Agriculture and Technical Instruction to hold an inquiry as to the advisability of extending the fishing season in the Londonderry B No. 15–1 District (Fresh Water); and, if so, whether he will have the inquiry held without further delay, so as to enable anglers to avail this year of the extension, if granted; and whether the inquiry will consider the complaints of anglers as to the way in which the last election of conservators was conducted?

Mr. BIRRELL

The Department have arranged to hold the inquiry referred to in the first part of the question. They have no power to inquire into the proceedings at the meeting for the election of Conservators in October last. If any illegality took place the parties aggrieved had their legal remedy.
