§ Sir SAMUEL SCOTTasked the Postmaster-General whether, in view of the fact that the Select Committee's Report made no provision for the rates of pay of Post Office assistants in London, he will state what are the salaries proposed to be paid to the assistants who may be employed at the Upper Baker-street office?
§ Mr. SYDNEY BUXTONThe assistants employed at the Upper Baker-street office will be paid at rates somewhat in excess of those recommended by the Select Committee for similar officers employed at provincial offices in Class I.
