HC Deb 04 November 1909 vol 12 cc2135-6W
Mr. BELLAIRS

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer, in view of the policy of the Budget to devote money to the maintenance of hospitals, if he will say whether the Treasury were consulted by the Admiralty in regard to the letting of the disused Coastguard stations to institutions for open-air treatmen; and whether he will consider the possibility of imposing less onerous conditions on such lettings?

Mr. HOBHOUSE

My right hon. Friend does not understand the reference in the first part of the question. It is the case that the Treasury were consulted by the Admiralty in this matter; but my right hon. Friend is not aware that the conditions referred to are onerous.
