HC Deb 04 May 1909 vol 4 c1020W
Mr. J. P. FARRELL

asked the Chief Secretary for Ireland if he will state the cause of delay in acquiring the untenanted lands of Monedarragh, on the J. W. Bond estate, in North Longford, which were offered for sale by the landlord to the Commissioners over 12 months ago; and when a sub-division of these lands will be made?

Mr. BIRRELL

Proceedings for the sale of this estate were not instituted under the Irish Land Act, 1903, until November, 1907. It will be dealt with in its order of priority, but some time must elapse before its turn comes.
