§ Mr. HART-DAVIESasked the Under-Secretary of State for India whether he is aware that discontent has been caused in the ranks of the Public Works Department officers recruited in India by the recent order as to reorganisation; and whether the whole matter will be inquired into with the view of re-instating these officers in the position they formerly held?
Mr. BUCHANAN: I have nothing to add to the answer given to a similar question asked by the hon. Member on the 10th December last, except that, as I have stated in reply to another question to-day, the Government of India will be asked to report on the results of the recent reorganisation.
