§ Mr. WILLIAM ABRAHAMasked the Chief Secretary whether the Estates Commissioners have received a memorandum 577W of agreement signed by Mr. George Joyce, Charlemont, Douglas, Cork, in which he has intimated his willingness to surrender the holding of Moneen, Glanworth, county Cork, on the Roberts estate to the Commissioners upon such terms as may be agreed upon, or to sell to them, in order to facilitate the reinstatement of Mrs. Catherine Gleasure; and whether, seeing that the Commissioners have already decided that she is a suitable person to hold land, they will take the necessary action in this matter?
§ Mr. BIRRELLThe Estates Commissioners have received a memorandum signed by Mr. George Joyce, who states that he requires £1,000 compensation for his interest in the lands formerly occupied by Mrs. Catherine Gleasure. This the Commissioners are not prepared to pay.
