§ Mr. BOLANDasked the Secretary to the Treasury whether his attention has been called to the request of the Kilkenny Local Pension Committee that the necessary sanction should be given them for expenditure in obtaining legal advice; and can he say what steps, if any, he proposes to take in the matter?
§ Mr. HOBHOUSEI understand that the legal question involved, which is one of some difficulty and importance, will shortly come before a court of law in connection with a case arising in another part of Ireland; and, pending a judicial decision thereon, I do not think that I could properly enter upon a discussion of the matter.
