My Lords, I beg to move that the House do agree with the Commons on their Amendments Nos. 43 to 46 en bloc. Clause SO provides the mechanism for the transfer of property held by the existing county councils in Wales and is required to be applied in accordance with the scheme under Section 19 of the Welsh Church Act 1914. As we debated on previous occasions, in order to avoid a division of the property into 22 funds—that: is, one for each council—the property is to be invested instead in eight lead authorities. These are minor technical changes which are being made in order to clarify the provisions for apportionment of the funds.
